Yes, Torontow is my real name.

Stage names abound in this industry, but mine is not one. If I knew what my name originally was before my paternal great-great grandparents fled the Russian Empire in 1905, I’d let you know. But for now, I am Michael Torontow, a proud Canadian actor who has enjoyed a career that spans more than two decades, and while my name causes daily headaches, I love it and wouldn’t change it for the world.

The Hero is the human being who dares descend into the darkest depths of the unconscious—the very source of our creative power—and there confronts the monsters thrown up by the fright-stricken infant psyche.
